Steven John Brouker, 69, left this world on Saturday, January 22, 2022, following a recent illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on October 20, 1952, to Phyllis and John Brouker of Lee, Massachusetts, Steven graduated from Lee High School in 1971 and later earned an Associate's Degree from the State University of New York, Albany.
Steven married Cynthia Flint, the love of his life, on June 25, 1977.
Steven proudly served his country in the United States Navy for twenty-four years, enlisting in 1971 and retiring in 1995, having earned the rank Chief Warrant Officer (CWO-4). During his honorable career in aviation ordnance, Steven became a commissioned officer in 1988 and was awarded the prestigious "Ordnance Officer of the Year", from the United States Navy for his exemplary service during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam War. Known by his call sign "Gunner", he served aboard the flight decks of the USS Ranger (CVA-61), USS Forrestal (CVA-59), USS Saratoga (CVA-60), USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14), USS Eisenhower (CVA-69), and the USS America (CVA-66).
